Vicarage Community Garden

We continue to make progress in the garden – weeding, watering and a little bit of planting. Thank you to everyone who has donated plants and flowers and to all those who have helped clear the weeds dig and plant. Thanks to a generous financial donation from a St Bees resident, we will soon have somewhere to store some tools. If you have a spare spade at the back of the shed or any other garden equipment that’s looking for a new home, we would be very happy to receive donations! Our big dig was on Saturday 6th July and our next one is Saturday 20th July. We now have a photo diary on the Priory website and you can follow our progress from November last year to date at http://www.stbeespriory.org.uk/vicarage-community-walled-garden-diary/

A Request from the vicar…

An old colleague of Becky’s who lives near Leeds is working away from home at Sellafield two days a week for 10 months from September.

He is looking for accommodation, preferably a flat but would consider lodging with someone. Becky would happily put him up but thinks vicarage life won’t give him the quiet evenings he’s hoping for!

Becky is hopeful we can find him something in St Bees. If you think you might be able to help please speak to Becky.
