Priory notes for week beginning 3rd February 2020
There is an old rhyme which says:
‘The snowdrop in purest white array, first rears her head on Candlemas day’
however they were first spotted in the Priory grounds at the beginning of January. Now, there is a wonderful display of these ‘Candlemas bells’ around the Priory – a sure sign that Spring is on the way.
The funeral of the late Joan Hewertson will be held in the Priory on Wednesday 5th February at 10:15 a.m, followed by committal at Distington Hall.
The pop-in café will be open from 10:30 a.m. until 12 noon in New College Hall (NCH) on Thursday 6th February. Later at 2 p.m., the prayer group will meet in NCH.
