Priory Notes April 17th

We hope that you all had a very happy Easter and will be able to enjoy more spring-like weather from now on. At this time many Cross-England walkers do go to the Priory to enjoy the building and its peace and to learn about the history of the village, some are unaware about what they are missing. They might enjoy a greeting and an invitation to visit the Priory.
There will not be Morning Prayer on Monday or Wednesday this week but Pop-in Cafe is as usual 10.30 am to 12 on Thursday.
Saturday 22nd The Trustees of St Bees School are inviting anybody interested in finding out more about the re-opening of the school in September 2018 to a presentation in the Management Centre. There are two sessions, one at 1.30pm the other at 3.30pm and there will be tours of the buildings as well. This is a good chance to ask relevant questions.
Swallows and Amazons is being shown in Hodgetts at 6.30pm but tickets must be obtained beforehand.

Sunday 23rd April Services in the Priory 9am Holy Communion led by Jim Marshall 10.30am Morning Worship led by Jim Marshall This is a service to celebrate Spring time in the parish. The congregation are invited to wear bright colours and possibly fancy hats. This is a Songs of Praise service with appropriate readings and music.
6pm Evening Prayer led by Chris Robson
Tuesday 25th April Ladies Bible Study resumes 9.30 am Venue to be arranged
Wednesday 26th April The last of the Arts Society lectures in the series. This talk by Russell Bowes (garden historian) is called The Painted Garden. It is a history of gardens as seen through the eyes of different artists. St Bees School Management Centre at 8pm
