All the leaders in our church who have contact with children or vulnerable adults have been DBS cleared and been trained by the Diocese of Carlisle on Safeguarding Procedures for any type of abuse, be it physical, emotional, sexual, financial, institutional, discriminatory or neglect.
Please be assured we take all forms of abuse seriously; accordingly, we have two Safeguarding Coordinators who have received additional training from the Diocese of Carlisle.
If you need any further help or information about our Safeguarding Policies, please contact either of our Safeguarding Coordinators.
Our Parish Safeguarding Policy for young children is Appendix 1a and was approved on the 5th October 2015 at our PCC meeting. This policy is valid for one year.
Our Safeguarding Policy for vulnerable adults is Appendix 1b and was approved on the 5th October 2015 at our PCC meeting. This policy is valid for one year.
